INMITTEN ["amidst"]

"When a melody becomes a spatially choreographed movement and patterns describe a geometric form in space,
the composition itself becomes a physical space for the listener to exist in
- amidst the very elements that temporarily become the music."
"Inmitten" is Kavall's first solo album, released on the Berlin label Neue Meister. It is an album interpretation of the artist's immersive live concept "Spatial Guitar", a concept that reimagines the guitar as a spatially playable instrument of independent voices that surrounds the audience.
The album consists of nine pieces that explore the possibilities of spatial composition on guitar and the embodied listening of this music. Resulting in a specifiy musical style that Kavall refers to as immersive minimalism.
The album is played as a solo guitar performance on Spatial Guitar., with all sound layers and effects souds emerginf live from the same performance.
The album was reamped at St. Joseph's Church, Burghausen.

All music written, performed, recorded, produced and mixed by Kavall.
